The Regeneration Learning Society (Regen) exists to build the capacity of people, communities, and organizations to learn, engage and lead in creating a socially just, low carbon future for all Albertans.
We do this through educational programming, peer-to-peer learning, and the practice of design, innovation, and reconciliation.

MEET OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ANN GLADUE-BUFFALO Ann utilizes her varied experience in business and politics to the benefit of the Treaty 6 First Nations.
KATE LETIZIA is passionate about building strong connections and communities, social and environmental justice, stopping climate change, and living as creative a life as possible.
RANDY PARENTEAU leads infrastructure projects in his community at the Fishing Lake Metis Settlement, and models a traditional way of life in living off the land and respecting the harvest Mother Earth provides.
SYMA HABIB uses her work in the social sector to imagine what a radically inclusive society might look like, using food and community organizing as a tool to connect with and heal alongside marginalized youth, adults with disabilities, people living on low incomes and racialized communities.
THANA BOONLERT works in greenhouse gas sequestration. He currently leads the Calgary chapter of Protect Our Winters, a group of outdoor winter enthusiasts advocating for climate action.

We are guided by the 94 calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and those of our indigenous Elders, allies and co-workers in striving for reconciliation with the people of the Sisikaitsitapi, Îyarhe Nakoda, Danit'ada, Métis, Nehiyawok, Salteaux*, and other Indigenous nations as we live and work on Treaties 6, 7 and 8 lands. *described by settlers as the Blackfoot Confederacy, Stoney Nakoda, Dene, Cree, and Sauteaux Nations

Our programs operate on a sliding scale fee model to maximize its accessibility. We offer bursaries for transportation, child care, or other as requested. The Regeneration Learning Society places the practices of reconciliation, equity, inclusion and accountability at the centre of all our work and in every gathering. We strive to be allies who are lead by the wisdom and experiences of the communities and people we support, collaborate and partner with. We use antioppression and decolonization practices to inform and guide our relationships and work.
