Moving Mountains is a three day design your own meeting for everyone who would like to understand more more about climate change so that they can do something about it.
How does it work?
The three days have 5 half day programming blocks. Come for all of them, or for as few blocks you want. Each block is a complete learning experience, with time to meet the others learning with you, a facilitated session, and closing time for you to debrief and decide what to do with your new knowledge
What’s the schedule?
Friday’s focus is on orientating folks to the current
setting of Climate Change in Calgary. Saturday is a day
of Community connections, with open working group meetings (solar power, politics, food, farming, etc) and an afternoon of networking to learn about groups, projects and opportunities for climate action in Calgary. Sunday
is centred on how to move ideas into meaningful projects and actions.
Ever day offers walking tours, workshops, lunch and free space to meet others and share your own experiences. Each day features interactive art and music / spoken word performances and wrap up coffee houses (4:30 - 6:00 ) on Friday and Saturday.
