Land based learning field trips are Saturday and Sunday mornings, leaving from the Life Science Innovation Hub at 9:15 am and returning at 11:30 am.

We have provided a bus, and all participants are required to use it. All participants must accept a waiver. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Dress for the weather, with waterproof footwear and weather proof outer layers. Bring your own drinks and snacks. There is no shelter from the weather. The bus will stay on site for those who want to use it as shelter.

Indigenous U of C (Friday & Saturday 1:15 - 2:30, Sunday 9:15 - 11:30) - guided by the Writing Symbols Lodge - visiting campus Indigenous space, facilities and the Lodge.

Moving Mountains has provided spaces and pre-arragned facilitation support for groups and organizations to meet to work on their active projects, organizational business, or other activities that they have chosen. Caucus meeting are open to interested any participants (subject to the agenda of each caucus). Caucuses meeting include the Alberta Environmental Network, Rural Routes 2 Climate Solutions (Sat. afternoon), Climate Leadership Program, Circular Economy Lab, the politician's climate action forum, and the Alberta Community and Cooperative Association Community Generation lab
Saturday 9:15 - 4:15
The Exchange Lounge will be set up with wall and table space for people and groups to post a single poster. The provided poster sheet can describe: their climate actions; organizations; make requests for help & resources; publicize their activities; or recruit members. The poster papers will be available by request from the information desk on Friday and Saturday.
Saturday 1:15 - 2:45
This is a guided round table session that will run concurrently with the Project Exchange in the Exchange Lounge. We are seeking people or groups to give 5 minute case studies of their ongoing climate action projects. Sign up for Case Studies will be at the information table all Friday, and on Saturday morning. Case studies will be grouped by topics, and done in small groups of 4-6 people. Flipcharts are provided, Powerpoint and other tech tools are not accepted. A facilitator will time each case study and facilitate a 10 minute discussion for each case.
Marketplace of Ideas
Saturday 1:15 - 4:45
The Marketplace of Ideas is a high speed problem solving and idea testing process for people or groups to explore solutions to stuck projects, test new concepts, introduce groups, or ask for help. The MPI is closely facilitated and timed to the minute. There will be up to 4 sessions on Saturday afternoon. Registration for the MPI can be by email to or in person at the information table all Friday and Saturday morning. Register early, we can only accept 18 presentations. MPI presentations are restricted to using flip charts. All presenters will receive an audio recording of their feedback as well as a pdf of the written notes captured of their session.
